The The ComEd Hourly Pricing program is a supply option that gives you power to take more control over your electricity usage and costs. While savings are not guaranteed, typical program participants have saved an average of more than 15% on their electricity supply costs, compared to what they would have paid on the standard ComEd fixed-price rate. How does the program work? Participants pay wholesale market prices, which fluctuate hourly, instead of the traditional averaged "flat" rate. Individual bills will vary month to month, based on weather, market conditions and your usage habits. Generally, the more you avoid using electricity when prices are high, the more you potentially could save. Participants must also remain in the program for at least 12 consecutive monthly billing periods and will be charged an additional fee of $0.39 per month to participate.
