There are 4 plastic sticks that hold the air filter in place. The sticks feel like they will snap at any time. The filter was difficult to get at and there are shape-specific prefilters to buy every three months. The first "filter" is very loose wire mesh. The box says model 04384, but the product inside was 04383. The two units look the same on the outside, but are different. The difference is that 04384 has a 3-stage filter: plastic, then replaceable carbon, then paper (as pictured on the box). The 04383 model has only the paper filter. and received the correct product. I have no complaints about the order process or return policy, just that the product inside did not match what I ordered and what the box said.
