Healthy Home in a Box Adding essential oils to your air filter is a unique way to scent your home. It's inexpensive, can add a wonderful aroma to your living space, and is very easy to do. Here's how you can do it in your home. Supplies you will need: Buy a new air filter. I wouldn't recommend using your old, dirty, clogged filter. Applying essential oil scents to your dirty filter might not give you the results you want. F.Y.I- when making your new air filter purchase double check to make sure you have the right size. The best way to know what size you need is to look at your existing installed air filter. The size should be printed on the filter. I hate having to drive back to the home improvement store to make returns, so make sure you know your home's filter size before you purchase. Joe Filter offers various sizes and types with FREE shipping on order over $50. Pick your essential oil fragrance. Don't be afraid to be daring when choosing your scent. Not sure what oil to use?

pet odor air purifier reviewsLeave the room for a few minutes allowing the oils to absorb. Once you return to the room you should be able to smell the oils. Now that you have chosen your essential oil, it's time to place it on your filter. Place 15 to 20 drops of your favorite essential oil directly onto your air filter.

It does not matter what side of the filter you place your drops. Do not confined your drops to one central area. Spread them out to cover your air filter's media surface. Tip: Do not put more than 20 drops of essential oils on your filter Install your new freshly scented air filter. Once you start to use your air filter the smell will quickly circulate throughout your home's air. My scented air filter lasted about 30 days. 30 days is the recommended air filter change and now its fun instead of a chore. Every 30 days I change my air filters and I try a new essential oil. The best part of using essential oils on my air filters is the nice aroma I smell without spraying chemicals into the air and onto my furniture. Help control your indoor air pollution and try putting essential oils on your air filters. I really loved this product...while it lasted. It has stopped working completely within a few months. Difficult to open and close! Otherwise nice design and pretty colors. If they could make it easier to open, would give it 5 stars. SmallNot very efficient . Not working correctly...may need to return. Terrific, does the job in my hypnotherapy office and quiet. Is good for very small area. I haven't gone one night without my wife using this on her nightstand. So with that being said It works perfectly. I would not recommend buying this oil diffuser/ humidifier. It barely emits any mist or smell. I placed it in my bedroom and put aboit 10 drops of essential oil in and couldnt... Love love love this..got one for my daughtersmells nice but effective range is small.

Posted by 5501969821201471037 on Jul 13, 2015 Can only smell it within 2 feet maximum from where you place it. Any further, you'll need to put another one .... Smells nice but nothing more Posted by Penelope11 on Feb 05, 2014 This is a quite large half-cube box with a grill-like lid to regulate the opening. It smells nice, but definitely not strong enough to eliminate odours as it promises. It is supposed to cover up to 400 sq ft/37 sq m, but even though I have put it in a room of 100sq ft/9 sq m, it definitely did not eliminate odours, not even the very first days. On the other hand, the carbon is very little (maybe a teaspoonful ?) and you lose some when you remove the freshness seal, so no purifying effect either. I will definitely not buy this again. Posted by 4694532000155514861 on Nov 11, 2013 It starts off strong, then is good for a few weeks depending on the size of your room, humidity etc., but then it basically stops working when there's still quite a bit of the stuff left in there.

I doubt that the charcoal is doing much given the itty bit that's in there. it does absort the mold smell in my bags cabinet Posted by 5226744307164581831 on Sep 23, 2013 my shoes/ bags cabinet starting with bad mold smell which I am trying to deal with it, but after I put the purifier in there for a week, the smell gone and it spreading out with nice lavender scent. I will keep going buy it. Posted by 5331978969266682254 on Sep 22, 2013 It was fantastic when it lasted, worked for about a whole week, then.... almost nothing!
