I love my reptiles but was so sick of the odor. I knew there was something I had to do. I did some research then called me local Walmart and asked if they had air purifiers in stock, he said yes, about twelve different kinds and the price ranges. I couldn't want any longer, I drove over there at 9PM at night because I wanted to run the purifier overnight and wake up the next morning to positive results, and guess what? I was thrilled, the odor that had built up over three years was virtually gone!!!! Well worth the price and I have no problem having to replace the filter every three months, it's worth every single penny, and if this product can get rid of that smell, I can't imagine any smell in can't get rid of. Whomever invented this product is a genius. I was to the point that the odor was making me feel sick every time I entered the room, and now I can enjoy my time spent in there.

Yes () No ()  Report Yes () No () This is the first time I used a purifier. I got the purifier as a sample to test and give my opinion. When I got it out of the box I was surprised how light it is. I have dogs and a cat and I thought the best place to test this purifier is my bedroom. I wake up sometimes with a stuffy nose and dry mouth. The purifier has a 3 speed setting. High was to noisy for my husband, medium and low are just fine, then the purifier has a separate switch to turn on the ionizer, I keep mine on all night. Really love that the purifier has a filer service indicator this helps me not to forget to clean/change the filter. After running the purifier all day the air seems fresher. After using my purifier now for a few days even my husband says that he is sleeping better, no stuffy nose in the morning. I turned the purifier off for 1 day and we both had a stuffy nose in the morning, this tells me that my little purifier is doing his job cleaning the air in my bedroom.

I can recommend this purifier and I know the purifier will not leave my bedroom. Again, within 2 days I could see dust already caught in the filter. I was shopping for a whole house purifier when I received this one for me to test and review. This air purifier worked so well for me, I ordered 4 more so that I can have them all over the house. I prefer it to a whole house model because it is small and lightweight enough to be easily moved, it is inexpensive and I know it works great! I highly recommend this air purifier. I like that it's small enough to really go anywhere in the house and fits perfectly on a small table. We tried this out in our bedroom and while speeds 1 and 2 are pretty quiet, the 3rd speed was a bit too loud for me, but my husband didn't seem to mind it at all, I think for most people the 3rd setting would be tolerable. For the size this purifier does a great job cleaning the air, I felt like the air was cleaner and crisper while using the purifier, and I woke up feeling less stuffy than I usually do because of allergies.

This Holmes Air Purifier also comes with an Ionization feature which is a nice addition. The manual states that I may hear some crackling sounds because of this feature but I have yet to hear even one sound from the machine. Overall I would say this little machine does a great job and I would definitely recommend purchasing. I was given this product for free in exchange for my review. It's lightweight and easy to move from room to room. There are three speeds. I tend to use the 2nd one. It's more quiet then the 3rd (too loud imho) and seems to filter the air properly. There is also an ionizer that is a separate button. My house tends to get a little dusty and I find that this unit really removes a lot from the air as there wasn't a build up on my furniture. There is a small magnified window that you can see the dust collected.

Before I ran the unit I removed the filter to check on how to change it. It came out easily and snapped right back in. When the time comes to change it, I know that it will be a simple process. The plastic case of the unit seems pretty durable and I expect it to hold up during normal use. This is a great little unit for the price and I highly recommend it. I have seasonal allergies, occasionally cigarette smoke from outside will come in and my house can get pretty dusty. These are the things I was hoping this little guy could help with and it seems to done the job. I have not had to dust as much, my allergies are not as irritating in the morning and if someone is smoking outside I don't really notice. I have been a user of the Holmes brand for many years and can always depend on the affordability and quality of their products. So I knew this would not disappoint and it hasn't.
