Claimed complete including trim, the car features a dual-quad 318 with correct air cleaners, push-button (Power or TorqueFlite) trans, and a factory 150 MPH speedometer. Find it here on eBay in Wauseon, Ohio with reserve met and fast bidding. It’s a shame to see an example of one of the prettiest Exner-designed Mopars of the 1950’s so neglected, but fortunately the car does look to be completely intact and restorable–at least from the top. Gold anodized trim seems as though it would require minimal attention, and despite some fading, bumpers and other chrome parts look decent as well. It appears that the driver’s rocker may be dented, and hood fit is slightly off, but otherwise sheet metal look pretty good barring the obvious rust. Fender skirts appear to be included, and glass is apparently all accounted for as well.

The car isn’t free of rust of course, with visible evidence of through corrosion in the left rocker, left headlight brow, and top edge of the firewall, all in addition to thick surface rust around the car’s Buckskin Beige finish. Notice the slightly less attractive ’59 model parked adjacent, wearing Magnum 500’s with Dodge center caps. The interior appears to be surprisingly well preserved, aside from the wrinkled and possibly water-damaged driver door trim panel. Regardless, upholstery remains intact along with carpet, both of which seem like they’d be serviceable after a good cleaning. The interior isn’t without flaws of course, as the wheel is cracked and the dash pad has begun to separate above the radio. Check out the cool gauge layout and the automatic transmission’s push-button controls. Here’s the polyspherical “wide-block” 318 cubic inch V8, presented in Dual Fury form with twin four-barrel carbs topped with (now filthy) gold air cleaners. Along with the gold painted rocker covers, they should clean up nicely.
