I sit about 3 ft in front of one at work and can't hear a thing and its only about 1-2 ft high. Odors seem to disappear quickly and i love that its sanitizing the surfaces in my office as well. I have a 1000 Sq. ft. condo and purchased the Air Oasis 1000G3. It has been running non-stop for several weeks and I have placed it in a central location on a table about 3 feet off the floor. I can cook breakfast in the morning and still smell the cooking odors when I return from work 10 hours later. When I have my place cleaned in the morning, I can still smell the cleaning products when I return from work. Therefore, I would have to say that this product does a very poor job of filtering odors. I'm going to move it to one of my rental properties to see if does anything to remove smoke odors, but I doubt I will notice any improvement if it cant even filter cooking odors.
