My decision to go with this one was based on the good reviews. After setting it up according to the directions I let it run but when I came back the unit was turned off. There is a door on the front of the unit that houses the filters that has to be closed completely for the unit to run and the door had come unlatched, turning it off. After having this happen several times I assumed I had a defective unit. I ordered in another one and once it arrived I first tested the door on it to make sure it closed securely. Immediately it popped back out. This one also had the same issue. I ended up just returning the second one and using tape to keep the door shut. I use the 3 or 4 speed during the day and 2 speed at night because it's quieter. It seems to pick up a lot of stuff! I'm overall happy with it, I just wish I didn't have to use tape on it to make it work.
