The other two are just little shoebox shaped things that sit on the floor. The height of this one makes me think it's getting and giving better circulation though, just so long as you have somewhere to put it that's not in the way.

The machine is quiet enough that you won't have to turn your TV way up to hear over it, but if you don't have anything else going then you'll definitely know this is on. It's sort of white noise though, just a low hum, and easy to sleep through for me. I ran this for two weeks straight and when I opened it up and looked at the filter it still looked brand new. I don't have any pets, so I wasn't expecting it to be filthy, but I thought I might see some dust at least. I do think it's working though, as the room always feels fresh and clean. I also like the fan feature if you want to cool off or just get the air moving in a stuffy room. Initial impressions were that this was a much lighter, smaller footprint purifier, but the question was whether these also translated to reductions in capability to purify the area surrounding our team's workspace.

After a couple of weeks, I have noticed that this purifier initially takes less of a break-in period to get rid of the industrial/chemical smell that was initially present in the larger, more expensive model. Also, while I have noticed that it doesn't have as long of a range, the purification is still just as effective as the other model, while being quieter. Oscillation capability is a major plus as well. Given that it also has a smaller footprint and is less expensive, I would have no hesistation in recommending this as a perfect mid-priced purifier for the room. The two pet birds we've had for 22 years can produce a lot of "dander" and dust that seemed to fill the room.

With recent onset of severe allergies we had to do something . I researched and compared consumer reviews and in the end decided on the Honeywell QuietClean Tower Air Ourifier with permanent filter. I especially liked the fact that it has the permanent filter. We had an older unit by another manufacturer and the unit still works but they changed the style some years back and the nerer filters won't fit! We should not have that problem with the new Hineywell. arrived within a week and operating the unity was as simple as turning on the switch. It also has the ocellating feature. It is a large unit but not too obtrusive. Within a few hours at most we immediately noticed a difference in the air quality. It was definitely cleaner. Even though we clean the room and aviary on a regular basis the dust and dander particles from the birds would be airborne and could be seen in bright light. Now, with the Honeywell air purifier I don't see it! The unit runs very quiet, another big plus. We are planning to get a second one for our large den area where we keep the cat.

I do like the oscillating feature, which stirs air around the room. This one replaced a tower fan in a large bathroom that has no ventilation. The old one got so much towel lint in it, I had to take it outside and blast it with canned air every other month. I chose this one because I didn't want to have buy filters. Time will tell if washing this one is easy. I had this type of washable filter on another fan and getting all the little fibers out of the netting was pretty difficult. I have four tower fans and they are all so noisy, I have to turn up the TV when I turn them on.

This one is the quietest by far. Overall, I do like it, but it's a bit soon to be writing a review on it. However, WalMart could wait no longer to hear how I like it. This Honeywell is quiet on all speeds and moves a good bit of air. The oscillating feature is questionable. It makes the base, which is light plastic, quite wobbly. And to see the whole upper 99% of the unit sweeping back and forth is bizarre and suggests a real failure point where it pivots. But does it clean the air? I have no idea! After six weeks of use I don't see any dirt building up on the "hepa" filter of either unit. In that amount of time with the Ionic Breeze I would see plenty of dirt collected on its shiny metal plates (despite Consumer Reports saying the Ionic Breeze was useless). At least I knew it was doing something. I'm going to wait the three months the manufacturer recommends, then wash the filter and see if I get dirty water the shows if it has trapped anything.
