You worry about making sure the water you drink and food you eat are pure and free of chemicals. But what about the 11,000 liters of air you breathe every day? Every bedroom, office, public waiting area, daycare or classroom contains millions of decaying skin and hair cells, pollen, mold, insect feces and many more unhealthy particles and gasses.  Breathing this air is like drinking water from the street gutters, or eating food from the trash. Have you thought about the damage these pollutants can do to your respiratory and immune systems? We have, and that’s why there’s Purifan. Purifan is a patented 5-stage clean air system that clears the air of unwanted and irritating particles, using the same amount of electricity as a 60-watt lightbulb. The bladeless ceiling fan design quietly and efficiently circulates air throughout your entire room, so there are no stale, “dead” spots like with floor air purifiers. It’s simple to set up, and you can install it onto your existing ceiling fan base.
Purifan was invented in 1998, and has been made in the USA ever since. It’s available in four designer colors, and we’ve sold more than 45,000 units to date. Purifan is the lowest total cost air cleaning system that truly works in homes, businesses and school classrooms. Purifan is up to five times as effective as the competition at getting rid of pollen, mold, dust, pet dander, smoke and other pollutants. The measure of an air cleaner’s effectiveness is Air Changes per Hour. Most floor or shelf air filters give 3 - 8 air changes per hour, but only the Purifan provides up to 40 air changes per hour in a 20 x 20 foot room area. That’s is a filter rate of 2,200 cubic feet of air per minute! Medical studies have shown there are health benefits for allergy and asthma sufferers who use an air purifier that produces at least 10 air changes per hour. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends 12 or more air changes per hour to reduce the spread of contagious illnesses through particle droplet transmission, including colds, flu, TB, whooping cough and others.
Many electronic and ionic air purifier models use high-voltage charges and collection plates, which add ions and ozone to the room air. Charged particles stick to walls, carpet and furniture, creating black stains. Ozone is considered harmful by the EPA and can create serious respiratory health problems, especially for children and the elderly. Purifan safely and effectively captures these particles in disposable paper media and captures odors in activated charcoal.indoor plant air purification Although you won’t see any paddle blades, the Purifan still works like a standard ceiling fan, creating a comfortable airflow throughout the room. aircon coil cleanerBut instead of just stirring the dust and pollutants around, it circulates filtered, clean air. plants for clean air cambridge
It can also support most light kits used in residential or commercial ceiling fan installations. Activated charcoal in the filters eliminates odors in the entire room, creating a clean, fresh, odor-free environment that people really notice. In clubs, lounges, bars or homes where smoking is an issue, optional smoke filters add an additional layer of potassium permanganate and alumina to reduce smoke odors. Most homeowners can install a Purifan in about 45 minutes, and all it takes is a screwdriver. Just remove the blades from your existing ceiling fan, then attach the mounting brackets and the Purifan itself, and you’ll be enjoying clean, filtered air. All that’s needed to keep your Purifan operating efficiently is changing the filters. In a typical home, the filters will last about a year, or 6 months in a classroom or office building. In bars, clubs, or homes with heavy smoking, the filter should be replaced every 3-4 months. Purifan is so quiet, you'll forget it’s even running!
It uses a standard ceiling fan motor to spin at an amazingly silent 200 to 220 RPM. Purifan is the quietest air purifier that moves enough air to make a significant impact on the airborne pollutants in a 20 x 20 x 8 foot room.  This makes it perfect for use in bedrooms, baby's room, TV watching areas, clubs, restaurants, offices, daycares and classrooms. Many floor or shelf-model air cleaners use a small, high-speed fan motor to move the air, creating a sound like a vacuum cleaner. They create so much noise, it’s difficult to sleep, talk, watch TV or carry on a normal conversation. You could turn them to a lower, quieter speed, but that makes them ineffective at cleaning the air. This is why so many people have replaced noisy ineffective floor or shelf air purifiers with a Purifan. A Purifan filters all the air in a room every 90 seconds, using the same amount of electricity as a 60-watt lightbulb. This equates to about 1/2 amp load, compared to the 8 or 10 amps required by some ceiling mounted electrostatic models used for smoke removal in bars and casinos.
Some customers tell us they consider the energy cost of a Purifan to be zero, since they were already running their ceiling fan anyway. Converting the ceiling fan into a Purifan doesn't change the electrical load, so it uses the same amount of energy. Purifans come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty, because they’re built to last a lifetime. Every time you replace the filter, your Purifan will perform like new, and ceiling fan motors are designed to run for 30 years or more. Most floor, shelf and ionic air cleaners only offer a 90 day warranty, and the low-cost models frequently break or the plates get corroded easily so they stop working. Larger, high-quality floor models may last a few more years, but eventually the electronics or motor bearings wear out, requiring expensive repairs or a new unit. Commercial air purifiers used in smoking applications, sometimes called electrostatic smoke eaters, have a service life of only 24 to 36 months before they typically need to be replaced with new models.
