Not very heavy and not very loud (you would expect some noise but this thing is so quiet I forget I have it on) The air purifier comes with three speeds, at first I used the highest speed which is 3 (just finished smoking up my house grilling burgers on the stovetop) and instantaneously I felt a difference in the air and then no more smoke, just fresh, crisp air.
